Evaluation 3

What have I learnt from your audience feedback?
I asked 10 people from my chosen target audience to give feedback on the music video and ancillary texts. I created this information by showing a small group the video and then showing them images of the digipack and advert and then asked them to fill in the questionnaire. I have made charts to clearly show the feedback.

1. Out of 5, 5 being the most, how clear is the story line in the video?
I asked this question to help me know if the video would have a clear story line, only 3 people close below the highest number which is good as this could have been for various reasons or a different kind of target audience who watched the video.

2. Out of 5, 5 being the most, do the products have a consistent theme throughout?
I asked this question to help me see if I created the brand image well, I am happy with these results as it is a high number. With the results of 3 and 4 I feel although they are low as the video doesn't look like the digipack or advert.

3. What genre is the artist?
I am very happy with these results as the genre is pop. It has clear ways that the genre is pop which means the feedback is right and correct.

4. Who do you think the music video is aimed at?

94% of the answers were teenagers/young adults while 6% were aimed at other audiences.
Some of the responses as to why were:

1. It can relate to young people breaking up
2. The artist is young herself so can feel connection
3. The video has different moods
4. The styling of the mise-en-scene and the artist

5. Does all of my products look professional, if yes then state reasons how.

100% of the feedback said that the products look professional.

Some of the responses about the video were that:
1. The edits made the video
2. The use of the artist
3. The location and camera use

The response for the digipack:

1. The fonts used
2. The barcode and record label
3. The use of clear good images

The response of the advert:

1. Designed with the layout as very similarly to others
2. The reviews shown
3. The 'includes' songs
4. The use of the artists picture

I found the feedback very helpful as it made me sure that the audience I chose was correct. It also made me happy that I have created good products that look professional. I am happy I collected quantitative and qualitative information so that I gained in depth data as well.

Feedback From Teacher

Feedback for Evaluation 1

What Went Well:

Good to see you addressing develop and challenging conventions in the research of digipack.

Even Better If:

Make sure you give full answers i.e. explain why you think e.g. the album being displayed in the advert isn't normal.

Evaluation 1

Digipack

Once I completed my digipack I added all of the images onto an A3 page on photoshop and moved them around to form the shape. For my digipack I made sure I included certain aspects that were vital for a digipack, I included the album name and artist name very clearly so that it was easy for the audience to see who it is, I made sure I included the album songs so people could see if the songs they like are on the album. I included close up pictures of the artist so that people may find it easier to recognise by the artist. I also made sure I included the record label and barcode to be able to be scanned.
