I decided that I wanted to put a big image of the singer on the front of the advert to help the audience with who the artist is. I then made sure I had her name and the album in big writing. I wanted to include a rating and include songs that were in charts so that it brings in a bigger audience of people who may like the songs.

Reflection
I changed some of the ways I created the digipack, I included an image of the artist where the tracks are as I felt it was looking quite dull, I also thought to include the executive producers as while looking at other digipacks I noticed it was on a few. I also changed some of the colours to a darker pink while in the process.
Original Image
On the left is my original image as shown the image looks very plain. I done this as I had the idea which I saw from a previous album cover to change the colour tone of the album so it changes the image completely, this also helped me as I could keep this consistent colour throughout the whole of the digipak.
To create this I used photoshop, as seen below the image I used colour balance to change the colour. I experimented with many colours and thought pink would look best and suit my target audience.

Annotating Album Covers

Beyonce
Left - Sex symbol as she isn't wearing many clothes, standing in position and shot is low angle shows someone with high power. She is standing over her name which shows popularity as people know who she is.
Right - Simple writing of her name as she is very popular and doesn't need herself on the album to sell.
Album covers relating to album name
Left - Justin Timberlake album cover explains his album name '20/20 vision' by having the eye frame.
Right - 'The Fame' her glasses and white gloves represents that she has fame and money.
Many artists do this so that the audience can relate and the album name means something specific to them.
Some artists don't brand themselves with an image, some artists simply have the name or some have the logo for example on the right Daft Punk have the logo of the helmet they wear on stage. On the left The XX have a simple X which is both their name and a logo as well.

Sex Symbol
Some artists brand themselves as a sex symbol. These are mostly pop artists who are popular and in the charts. As seen in Rihanna and lady gagas cover of there album they are both naked which indicates the type of music that they may make. Also, as their album covers are more provocative, it gives a clue as to which age group their music may be based upon.
