Ella Eyre

Ella Eyre is who my artist is similar too mine. Her album covers are simple but effective, it shows the artist herself. The second album cover shows more theme to her name. She uses a red theme that shows power, and the way she is sitting makes it seem like she has importance which is good for her branding image.

Albums Which Are Similar

 I picked these album covers to be similar to my cover of my album, when looking at these styles I thought how I could bring in some of each theme. I thought that the second image of the girl crying would be effective for my cover, I want to add a background for the image to add some extra themes into it. I thought about copying the 'vendor' album cover with changing the colour of the woman so that I could use that colour for the rest of the album to ensure that the colour is consistent through out. 

As my artist is already known about she has a certain font which she uses for her work which is shown below, I could use this to get ideas and to ensure that it is different and interesting.

How I Included Target Audience

I chose these two pictures to represent the target audience, the scene in the bath scene shows an emotional side which can relate to the audience as they would listen to this song feeling a bit upset. This would also involve the secondary audience which is males as it brings in a slight sex appeal. 

The shots with the romantic parts connected the target audience of the young girls as they can relate to the love story and the breaking up with boyfriends. I felt as though showing the relationship will help them and maybe copy the good actions which are in the video.

Refilming

Updates, Reflection

After reviewing all my footage and trying to make sense of an order that I would put the footage in

I found that:

1) Some of the footage wasn't light enough

2) Some of them missed the specific parts that I wanted

3) Shots which are not great to use

4) Not enough different locations for the lip-syncing

Although I had many shots I could use I decided that I was going to re film just to ensure that I had extra shots, I thought it would be best to do lip syncing shots of just the singer with nothing distracting the view from her. I would also try my best to get more shots with better lighting so that it doesn't look dull but ensure that if I am outside the lighting doesn't look too different as then it would be obvious that it is a different. 

Lipsyncing Task

Before we started the music video we looked at a video 'Do you want too' that has been previously made by another student for A level, we had a short tutorial from our teachers of how to lip-sync. We had a go for ourselves on this video. 

To ensure that the lip-syncing gets exactly on the right point, we must use markers to help us get the exact point where we see the mouth moving. As below in the image the markers have been placed on the music as to where the mouth would be singing the words. 

I then added a marker on the footage where I saw the same part of the audio. I then moved the footage to be in line with the audio on the parts which the marker has been put. This now meant that the lip-sync is perfect.
