Editing Music Video

Markers
I used markers on the sound and video to help me lipsync the lyrics, I found a certain part of the song and added a marker to catch a certain word on the video and then done this with the audio as well. I then moved the part of the video or the audio to match up with it and made sure it was very specific.

Transitions

I didn't use transitions for my video, I only used 'fade to black' as this gives it an professional look to the music video and doesn't just cut off.

Effects
I used different effects to change up the simple shots, I used mirroring, different colours e.g. black and white and tiled. This helped the shots look different if I repeated the same one. When the singer was lip-syncing I used these effects as it would make it more interesting to watch. I used black and white for the scenes with the girl and boy to show that it was in the past.

Slow motion and fast motion

I used slow motion and fast motion for some parts in my video, I used the slow motion to show the separation between the girl and boy which continued over the video. I then used fast motion to show the craziness of the girls mind. I had to change the speed either less percent or higher percent to get slow or fast motion.

Some of the strengths I had overall were that it helped change the simple edits and make the video more exciting to watch, I learnt new features but on the other hand it took a long time as I had to learn them before. Adding the features changed the length of the clips which messed up the arrangement which meant it took a long time to render and move back.
