Feedback From Class

After we finished our music videos we went around our class and the other A-Level class and looked at each others music videos. This would help us for the evaluation of the video.

The questions included 'Describe the brand image using different adjectives' my responses were 'classy, sophisticated, cool and sassy'. I think this describes my video well as my artist is suppose to be chic and cool and also a side that is fun as well.
The second question was 'what convections of the form/genre can you clearly see' the response was 'ballet dancing, lip syncing and close ups' I was happy with this response as the lip syncing and close ups were what I learnt was most important for a music video to succeed.
The third question was 'what is your favourite shot' the response was 'in the mirror, ballet shots, end scene, emotional bath scene' I felt as though these were some of my favourite shots as well as I felt they worked well with the song and showed the genre of the music best.
The forth question was 'what is the target audience' the response was 'teenage girls 15-18, people with boy trouble experience' this was my target audience for my artist and maybe young adults too as the music and style of the video matched the young age.
The last question was 'what do you think could be adapted/added in order to improve the overall impact of the music video' the responses were 'sync the first words better' which I quickly improved, 'would have been better if ballet dancing was shot in another location' and 'lighting a bit dull at times' these improvements are very similar to what I felt with my music video as after filming I realised that some of the lighting wasn't great but I had little time to change it.
